Rules of the Championship
The Championship :
It is made up with DTM races played on-line on the great Codemasters race simulation "Toca Race Driver 2". Original version is used. Patch v1.1 or
patch v1.2 are not used.
Events are races in simulation mode with collisions and dammages on, and rating off.
IMPORTANT :
Races have to be played in a friendly state of mind. I ask every entrant to have a loyal and fairplay behaviour during the comptetition.
Cutting is forbiden : 2 wheels at least have to be ever in contact with the track.
No "stockcar" : contacts between cars are authorized if they are controlled and correct. Intentional crashes will be strictly punished !
Obvioulsly, cheat codes are forbiden. Only texture modifications are authorized.
The pilot who will not respect this rules will be kicked at the first "second offense" (in the best case).
Joining and Password
The pilots who will be selected will be the first 12 who will have registered on-line.
IMPORTANT :
If more than 12 drivers are registered, 5 “pre-qualifications” session will be organized (collisions OFF).
The password for the race championship session will be sent to the 12 selected drivers by e-mail, 2 hours before the race starts, at the latest.
Number of Players
Since 18 august 2005, i have got a new connexion with 3000 kps down and 1000 kps up.
So I can now host at 12 drivers without any lag problem.
Races Schedule
Usually, the championship sessions take place every saturday evening, after 11.15 pm.
During the week, a training session could be organized (no point recorded)
in order to prepare the next saturday night race.
Qualifying Session
Qualification on 10 laps (9 laps qualifying + 1 slow lap returning to pit)
The last lap will be driven slowly in order to let the lasts started to end their 9th qualification lap.
"Super Pole" Qualifying Session
The 5 first times will participate to a second qualifying session : the “Super Pole”. Qualification on 5 laps (4 laps qualifying + 1 slow lap returning to pit).
At the end of this, the best time between the 2 qualifying sessions will be selected for the starting grid.
Race
The number of laps will be calculated according to the lenght of each track, in order to race about 125 kilometers.
The first lap will be driven slowly, with a lot of carrefulness, in order to make up the starting grid.
Then, at the end of this first slow lap, race will begin with a flying start.
IMPORTANT :
All the pilots must follow the speed imposed by the pilot in pole position, and each one have to keep his position until the leader have passed the starting line. However, the leader is not authorized to jam on the brakes in order to create intentional crashes.
BLUE FLAGS
Pilots who are at 1 lap from the head pilots must let them pass without problems. Otherwise an investigation will be made and could generate a penalty (black card).
Connexion Problems :
If any “PC Timed Out” problem appears during the race, we will restart the race if this happens before the leader has ended the 3rd lap. Otherwise, the race will unfortunatly continue.
Pit Stops
All the competitors have to respect 2 pit stops during the race. As DTM rules impose, the first pit stop have to be done after the 6th lap (the 6th lap have to be ended before entering the pit for the 1st time).
The second pit stop can be done at every lap, except the last one.
But if someone needs to stop before the 6th lap because of accident or something, a third pit stop will be required.
Moreover, all pit stops will have to be announced ("Pit 1", "Pit 2", ...).
IMPORTANT
The pilots who exit pits can not change their way (because of automatic pilot). Consequently, the pilots who pass the starting line must take care of them.
